Yeats Meets Wilde at The Westbury Hotel
The Westbury Hotel and the Abbey Theatre are delighted to
present ‘Down Off His Stilts’, an
exclusive dinner theatre experience which celebrates W. B. Yeats
and the richness of Irish theatre within the luxurious setting of
Wilde – The Restaurant in The Westbury Hotel.
Down Off His Stilts will take place on
Wednesday, the 11th of September at 7.30pm, and features
dramatic re-enactments from a selection of Yeats’ most compelling
plays, poems and letters while guests indulge in a specially
created seasonal menu in Wilde – The Restaurant, named after
another of Ireland’s most famous literary sons.
Directed by David Horan and with a stellar cast
including Jane Brennan, Derbhle Crotty and Arthur Riordan,
Down Off His Stilts gives an insight into
Yeats’s life and work, featuring luminaries such as his famous muse
Maud Gonne McBride and literary contemporaries George Bernard Shaw
and JM Synge. Down Off His Stilts is a
compelling and hugely entertaining dinner theatre experience.
