December 1st – 9th "Hanukkah"
Hanukkah is celebrated for eight days. A
Menorah or a candelabrum is lit one at a time for eight nights. On
the last day of Hanukkah all the candles are
therefore lit. Menorah lighting is taking place each night in
Boston Common late December - located within
walking distance (approximately 3 blocks) from The Back Bay
Hotel.
December 24th & 25th - Christmas Eve and Day
Shops and businesses will be open for limited hours on Christmas
Eve. The Stanhope Grille restaurant will be open for breakfast
6:30am – 11am and closed for lunch and dinner service on both
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Cuffs~an Irish Bar will be open
from 11.30am until 1am on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
December 31st - New Year’s Eve / First Night
Created in Boston over 30 years ago and now a celebrated
festival worldwide, First Night is a
day long celebration of art and community. First Night Buttons will
be available at our concierge desk. Join us at Stanhope Grille for
breakfast or dinner on New Year's Eve.
A Christmas Celtic Sojourn
