Bristol Zoo’s Halloween Festival

22nd – 30th October

Head up to the leafy streets of Clifton in the run up to Halloween and pay a visit to Bristol Zoo for their Halloween Festival. With everything from crafts and spell casting, to a black cat trail and a witches and wizards workshop to zoo is transforming into a spooky spectacle. Young visitors are encouraged to show up in their best fancy dress, enjoy themed snacks in the restaurant and even take the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the scariest creatures in the zoo. Spooky!

Family Arts Festival

October

Throughout October Bristol Family Arts Festival will be bringing a month of citywide celebrations of all things creative. With over 50 different activities taking place across the city from puppetry workshops at Bristol Hippodrome from the team behind the critically acclaimed War Horse to pumpkin carving and screenings of some of your favourite films, there truly is something for everyone.

Bristol Jazz and Blues Festival: Winter Concert Series

27th September – 24th December

Just down the harbour from The Bristol, The Arnolfini will be playing host to Tongue Fu Ft. Dizraeli and guests as part of a concert series in the run up to next year’s Bristol Jazz and Blues Festival. Tongue Fu, the UK’s leading spoken word and music show, will see storytellers and rappers flex their skills to live improvised soundtracks. Part gig, part experiment, no two shows are the same in this quixotic clash of improv and music.

Grayson Perry: The Most Popular Art Exhibitions Ever!

27th September – 24th December 

The Arnolfini welcomes a major exhibition by Grayson Perry this autumn. The exhibition explores diversity through the lens of contemporary art through works that tackle everything from masculinity, sex and religion to class and politics. The exhibition presents more than 25 of Perry’s latest works, and is on show outside London for the first time.
