It’s that time of the year again, when hundreds of colourful balloons ascend into the skies above the land of Ashton Court Mansions at The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.

Watch as balloons all shapes, colours and sizes gently float from the grounds as their flames shoot into the skies and delighted passengers wave goodbye in excitement. It does make for a truly magical scene.

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta takes part every year at Ashton Court Mansion, and sees hundreds of balloons fly above the city. There are a number of ways to be part of this event, from spectating in the crowd below or even joining one of the balloons as it takes flight. For the early risers, get down the at dawn for the ‘Breakfast and Balloons’ event at 6am or see the mass ascent into the evening skies at 6pm.

A variety of balloon packages are available for those wanting to take to the skies, such as the Champagne Hot Air Flight, which includes Champagne during your flight, a personalised flight certificate, a flight guide and a map pack. Vouchers for children are also readily available for the younger thrill seekers.

There are plenty of other activities on the estate that you can also enjoy from model aircraft flying displays, balloon tethering and special appearances from the RAF Falcons parachute team. A live music stage is also in swing throughout the weekend which runs from 11^th – 14^th August. Also during this fun-filled weekend there will be a spectacular Night Glows and fireworks display. Here you will see up to 30 tethered balloons illuminate the night sky with choreographed sequences set alongside music and finally ending with a magnificent fireworks display. A truly memorable way to end your weekend.
