The district of Bloomsbury is London’s literary heartland, having been home to many famous authors & poets including Virginia Woolf, E.M. Forster & John Maynard Keynes. Just minutes’ walk from our hotel you will find The British Museum (formerly the British Library), as well as many antiquarian bookshops, galleries and an array of eclectic cafés.


Soho and Theatreland

The Bloomsbury is the hotel for theatre lovers. You’ll be close to Dominion Theatre, Piccadilly Theatre and the Prince of Wales Theatre, which are just a few minutes away on foot. For even more theatre, you can head into Covent Garden. In addition to savouring the theatre scene, you can sip cocktails in some of the slick Soho bars or wind down to the smooth sounds of jazz or other genres in the live music venues.

As well as theatres such as the London Coliseum, the Lyceum Theatre and the home of opera in Britain, the Royal Opera House, Convent Garden is your invitation to visit some of the UK’s finest museums. The National Gallery, the London Transport Museum and the arts centre Somerset House all await you to explore them.


Famous Landmarks & Attractions

Thanks to the Bloomsbury’s location, you can hop on the Tube and travel to the Tower of London and the London Eye within 30 minutes. An hour’s journey on the Tube will reward you with access to the National Gallery. This is also the approximate time it would take to travel to Heathrow or Gatwick by tube.
