What's On

The National Gallery

Founded in 1824, the National Gallery houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to the 1900’s. The blockbuster show which runs until 17th January 2021 is Titian: Love, Desire, Death.

The exhibition reunites all six paintings in the series, from Boston, Madrid and London, for the first time in over four centuries. Included are ‘Diana and Actaeon’ and ‘Diana and Callisto’,  works owned jointly with the National Galleries of Scotland.

I’ve been visiting the British Museum quite a lot lately as I’ve been researching ancient Egypt and the mummies for my latest Violet book.
