On Tuesday 10^th March, The Kensington will be hosting British designer Sophie Conran for an intimate lunch and discussion in the stylish confines of the Town House restaurant.

Daughter of designer and restaurateur Sir Terence Conran and food writer Caroline Conran, Sophie has immersed herself into the world of fashion and design since leaving school at 17. Initially working as an apprentice for couture milliner Stephen Jones, she went on to work in the studio of her brother, fashion designer Jasper Conran, before embarking on several interior design and fashion buying projects.

Sophie’s love of food and cooking was brought to life for the launch of the award-winning Sophie Conran Pies in 2004, followed by a series of cookbooks and other culinary collaborations with brands such as Arthur Price and Notting Hill Chocolates.

Guests can expect fascinating tales from Sophie’s life and varied career, with interior tips and style inspiration as well as ideas for hosting and entertaining guests at home.

The afternoon will include a delicious three course lunch at The Kensington’s elegant Town House restaurant, featuring global cuisine from the likes ofGame ragu, pappardelle pasta, pecorino sardo, Grilled corn-fed chicken cumin braised sweet potato & kale and Seared organic salmon black lentils, Padron peppers as well as sweet treats such as Acai berry Scottish honey, roasted almonds and Golden pineapple passionfruit & pomegranate.

Guests will feel like they are enjoying lunch with Sophie at her very own dining table and will leave feeling inspired, armed with design tips and stylish advice to take to their own home.

Lunch with Sophie Conran will take place on Tuesday 10th March at The Kensington hotel at 12:30pm. Tickets cost £40 per person and include 3 courses, water, wine and a goody bag.
