At The Doyle Collection, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with additional needs. We strive to improve and maintain the accessibility of our website, following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards. This statement outlines our efforts to provide a user-friendly experience for all visitors and highlights the steps we are taking to continuously improve accessibility across our digital platform.

Compliance Status

While significant progress has been made in relation to becoming fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, there remain several areas that require improvement.

Areas for Improvement

Images

Certain images on our site either lack alternative text or have descriptions that do not fully convey their purpose. We are actively updating these to ensure all visual content is accessible.

Links

Some links do not provide enough context about their destination. We are revising these to offer clearer information.

Media

We are in the process of adding more detailed transcripts and audio descriptions to our video content to enhance accessibility for all users.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of all accessibility issues. We are committed to continuously improving the accessibility of our website.

Third-Party Content

While we strive to ensure our website is fully accessible, some external sites linked from our pages may have varying levels of accessibility that are beyond our control.

Accessibility Evaluation Method

We evaluated the accessibility of doylecollection.com using the Website

Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM). A representative selection of pages was audited through a blend of automated and manual testing.

Automated testing was conducted with:

ARC Toolkit Axe Devtools

Manual testing involved:

Screen reader assessments using NVDA on Windows 11 Keyboard operation

Progress made to improve accessibility since the audit on May 23rd 2025

Heading tags

Each page contains a single H1 heading and order of headings follow H1 > H2 > H3. Any visual formatting of content that implies a relationship with other information has been correctly marked up with appropriate ARIA attributes.

Autocomplete

The HTML autocomplete attribute is used which contains predefined values so that browsers and assistive technologies can present the purpose of the inputs to users. Browsers and other user-agents can suggest and 'autofill' the right content by autocompleting these fields based on past user input stored in the browser.

Hyperlinks

All hyperlinks in blog sections are underlined so links in a body of text are easily identifiable.

Reflow

Video modal can be closed at different screen sizes and orientations.

Keyboard

Users can navigate the website using only their keyboard. Focus indicators have been applied to anything that can be tabbed, they remain visible and unobscured when navigating the website. User interface components only trigger actions when users explicitly activate them. A minimum line height of 24 px has been used for all interactive components so that the text is easier to read and users can interact with links and buttons without confusion.

How we are going to continue improving accessibility

Enhanced Image Descriptions

We will systematically review and update all images to ensure that each one has meaningful alternative text. This process will include regular audits to verify that all visual content meets accessibility standards.

Upcoming Website Redevelopment

We are currently in the process of redeveloping our website through a complete rebuild, with accessibility considered at every stage. Our goal is to meet at least the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard, ensuring an inclusive and user-friendly experience for all visitors.
