Learn how to make summer cocktails from Doyle’s House of Bloom menu at home

As summer settles in and the sun shines over Washington, D.C., there’s no better way to celebrate the season than with a refreshing libation. Doyle at The Dupont Circle has crafted two standout cocktails available on our House of Bloom terrace that perfectly capture the essence of summertime: Wildflower Crowns and Emotions of Flowers.

Both drinks are easy to make and infused with fresh, floral flavors. The best part? We’re sharing the recipes below so you can recreate them at home and bring a touch of Doyle’s garden oasis to your space, whether you're unwinding in your living room or hosting a backyard gathering.

Wildflower Crowns

Delicate and floral, Wildflower Crowns is the perfect cocktail to sip as the evening unfolds. The combination of gin, elderflower, and orange blossom syrup gives this drink a sweet and citrusy touch.

Ingredients (Creates 1 Serving):

  • 1.5 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • 0.5 oz St. Germain
  • 0.5 oz Orange Blossom Syrup (recipe below)
  • 0.25 oz Lime Juice

Orange Blossom Syrup:

  • 4 oz Orange Blossom Water
  • 4 oz Sugar

Instructions:

  1. Combine the Orange Blossom Water and sugar in a pot, bring to a boil, and then let it cool.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add gin, St. Germain, orange blossom syrup, and lime juice with ice.
  3. Shake well for about 10-15 seconds.
  4. Strain into a chilled glass, garnishing with a twist of lime or an edible flower for an elegant finish.

Emotions of Flowers

Light, effervescent, and bursting with bright flavors, Emotions of Flowers is a drink that embodies the whimsical spirit of summer. The peach, mint, and elderflower notes are perfectly balanced for a refreshing sip.

Ingredients (Creates 1 Serving):

  • 2 oz St. Germain
  • 1 oz Peach Citrus Mint Syrup (recipe below)
  • Top with Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic

Peach Citrus Mint Syrup:

  • 1 cup Peach Tea Leaves
  • 2 oz Fresh Mint
  • Zest from 1 Lemon
  • 4 oz Water
  • 4 oz Sugar

Instructions:

  1. Combine peach tea leaves, fresh mint, and lemon zest in a pot with water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add sugar and stir until dissolved, then let the mixture cool. Strain before use.
  3. In a glass filled with ice, pour St. Germain and peach citrus mint syrup.
  4. Top with Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic and gently stir.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a slice of peach.
