What: The Queens 90th Birthday
When: 21st April 2016
In 1901, Kensington was granted the status of a Royal Borough, in memory of Queen Victoria who was born at Kensington Palace. Last year, The Queen became the longest-serving UK monarch with an outstanding reign of 64 years. This year, Her Majesty will be celebrating her 90th birthday with a series of dedicated events across London. These include the Annual Trooping the Colour Parade on the 11th June, which has taken place in London since 1820. Exhibition Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from The Queen’s Wardrobe, will also mark the celebration and will be displayed exclusively at Buckingham Palace from 21st April 2016.

What: Wildlife Photographer of The Year at The Natural History Museum
When: Until 10th April 2016
This year, the Wildlife Photography of the Year competition encouraged photographers to think differently about the way they tell stories and to use new innovative technologies. The result of this produced some of the most compelling images of the natural world which are available for public viewing up until 10th April 2016. What: Swan Lake at The Royal Albert Hall
When: 1st June – 12th June 2016
The English National Ballet will perform in Derek Deane’s critically acclaimed production of Swan Lake. This magical production has captivated audiences worldwide since its premiere in 1887. The Royal Albert Hall is transformed into a magical lake for this unrivalled and compelling dance spectacular that tells the tale of Odette, a beautiful princess who is turned into a swan by the evil sorcerer. What: The Chelsea Flower Show
When: 24th – 28th May 2016
For 5 days in May, the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea will be transformed into the world’s greatest flower show. 2016 highlights will include photographic and floral tributes to celebrate HM The Queens 90th birthday, an acoustic garden inspired by world-leading percussionist, Dame Evelyn Glennie. What: Exhibitions at The V&A Museum

The Victoria and Albert Museum is the world’s leading museum of art and design, showcasing some of the most unrivalled historic and contemporary art. One of the most exciting exhibitions of the year is Botticelli Reimagined; an innovative showcase that explores the artistic legacy of Sandro Botticelli and runs from 5th March to 3rd July 2016.
