Guest blogger reviews Dalloway Terrace
By Aisha Master
Dalloway Terrace is a famous brunching joint didn’t you know. You didn’t did you? Ok, let’s go with how they put it; "elegant, poetic and quint(bloomin’)essentially English". Second that!
This beautiful indoor/outdoor space had me (and will have you) at hello, the most gorgeous space you can imagine, all with the right droplets of fine food culminations thrown in (quail's eggs included). To die for marble top tables come for free, I'm evidently spilling the beans on why the 'hand shot*' is the golden shot and ideal for an Instagram snap - particularly if you, like me, Instagram your life 'the flat lay way*'.
The menu is of a good size, be sure to be go with an appetite. I’m not a food blogger by any means, but do understand what you need for your daily social media fix. And don’t say I didn’t warn you about getting snap happy. Wintery romance is the name of the game at Dalloway Terrace and this space oozes charm; so much so that my date felt the shortfall in attention. I love this place, and will undoubtedly go back for more. Class in a glass. Well, class in a terrace!
Glossary of terms for the non-bloggers among you
* Flatlay: Flat lay photos have become the new ‘in’ thing on Instagram – they’re classic, simple and chic ways to show off your favourite objects and current addictions in a pretty way.
* Hand shot: Another popular photo style on Instagram, the 'hand shot' shows off food, fashion or cups of coffee with a glimpse of your hand in the image.
