Grassroots, anyone?

It’s safe to say that cocktails are having a moment. Expert mixologists are creating new and innovative drinks, cocktail making classes are experiencing a huge rise in popularity, and exciting new menus are popping up all the time.

The Croke Park has just launched their new cocktail menu, which spans between the classics (margaritas, daiquiris etc) and brand new blends, which were created in house. Here’s a peek at what’s on offer in The Sideline Bar, with a drink for every mood...

Grass Roots is the signature cocktail for The Croke Park, the ideal drink before or after a match, with outdoor seating in Dublin.

The Classics

For a summer’s day…

Tom Collins (gin, soda and lemon juice)
Nothing hits the spot like a Tom Collins, the simple, refreshing classic.

For an aperitif…

Whiskey Sour (whiskey, lemon juice & egg white)
The egg white gives a thicker quality to this cocktail, which packs a powerful punch.

For the terrace…

Negroni (Campari, gin, Martini Rosso)
If you want to feel like you’re lazing on a Venetian patio, a Negroni is the only choice.

The Signatures

For a taste of Croke Park…

Grassroots (Pictured right - Irish whiskey, infused Irish gin, ginger ale & lemon juice)
This is The Croke Park signature cocktail – a beautifully balanced and zingy combination, set to be a new classic.

For an extra kick…

White Rose (Chilli vodka, lime juice, pineapple juice, sugar syrup & egg white)
The chilli adds a warmth to this delicate drink.

For something refreshing…

Watermelon Man (Top picture - Vodka, gin, rum, Cointreau, cranberry juice, lemonade, lime juice & watermelon)
If you’re a fan of fruitier notes, this will tick all of your boxes. The Cointreau adds a classically French, orange balance to sharper fruits.

For the Don Drapers…

Smokey Old Fashioned (Smoked bourbon, maple syrup & bitters)
If you miss Mad Men, you’ll love this twist on a classic cocktail. Bourbon is excellent when paired with smoky flavours and maple syrup.

The new cocktail menu is available now in The Sideline Bar. Classic cocktails are €10, and the Signatures are €12. You can see more on the website
