The Newest Brunch in Cork

And it's served every day, too.

The last few years have seen some fabulous brunch spots pop up all over the country, making life perfect for those with a weakness for eggs benedict. Cork isn’t immune to the buzz of the weekend’s best meal, and The River Lee has just launched a delicious new brunch menu.

There is no shortage of the classics, but there are also some quirky new dishes for those who want something a little different. We’ve taken a pick of some of the items you definitely want to try when you’re next in the city.

To Start…

Nothing says healthy weekend breakfast like a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. And all the vitamin C will leave you some wiggle room for a bit of naughtiness later on…

To Celebrate…

Speaking of naughtiness, sometimes only a cocktail will do. Keep with the theme with The Naughty Detox, a concoction of Cork dry gin, elderflower, lime, cucumber, kiwi. Or opt for the other brunch classic, with a twist, of course. The Weir Bloody Maria mixes tequila with tomato juice, tabasco and Worchester sauce.

For something light…

Try the Instagram classic, Avocado Toast. The Weir version goes all out, with chilli flakes, roasted tomatoes, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Delicious with plenty of goodness.

For something decadent…

If it’s something sweet you’re after, then the River Lee French Toast is perfection. It’s filled with seasonal fruit, vanilla mascarpone cream and doused in maple syrup.

For something on the side…

There are plenty of additions you can make to your brunch, whether it’s maple syrup, bacon or smoked salmon. Or you could keep things truly Cork, with some Clonakilty black pudding. Mmm.

The best thing about this brunch menu? It’s available every single day, not just at the weekends. Brunch is served from 11am – 3pm, and you can see more information (including the full menu) on the website
