Mocktails at The Coral Room in Collaboration with Seedlip

This Dry January, The Coral Room, located in The Bloomsbury, has set up a refreshing collaboration with Seedlip, offering a bespoke range of mocktails created by General Manager Giovanni Spezziga alongside Head Bartender Stefan Pohlod.

Providing the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits, Seedlip is dedicated to changing the way the world drinks. An incredible alternative to alcoholic beverages if you’re undergoing Dry January’s post-Christmas detox, Seedlip offers complex flavours and fruit juices to your drinks.

Bursting with flavour and the aromas of Seedlip, from Tuesday 8th January, you’ll be able to taste these guilt-free drinks.

On the menu is ‘Seeing In The Dark’, a spicy and flavoursome cocktail that includes Rhubarb and Cardamom Syrup alongside freshly squeezed carrot juice and Seedlip Spice 94.  For an added health fix, chia seeds have been added for some plant-based protein and healthy fats as well as boosting the drink’s texture.

If this dark and moody mocktail isn’t for you, ‘Living Coral Cocktail’ will do the trick. Inspired by The Coral Room itself and this year’s Pantone Colour of the Year, this sweet and hydrating concoction will leave you feeling at one with the luxurious and vibrant surroundings of the bar itself. Included in this drink is Seedlip Spice 108, pomelo and pink pepper tonic, cactus water and seaweed. Also on the menu is the ‘Bitter Sweet Grove’ – a bitter orange beverage, sweetened with elderflower and boosted with coconut oil. Gimlet 94 will offer acidic apple and blackcurrant flavours alongside fennel seeds and Seedlip 94.

Guests at The Bloomsbury are also able to experience non-alcoholic drinks from the comfort of their luxurious hotel suites, with an in-room mocktail available to order. The hotel has teamed up with ‘World of Zing’ to create a delicious pre-batched Gimlet 94. Giovanni Spezziga comments

‘We are delighted to be working with two prestigious brands such as Seedlip and The World of Zing, they are two of the most dynamic companies in the drinks world and we are excited to provide our guests with an enticing dry menu, guaranteed to take the blues out of January. Chin chin’.

The Bloomsbury Club Bar’s Take on Dry January

For a rebellious twist on Dry January, The Bloomsbury Club Bar is creating emphasis on their variety of dry spirits in a delicious new cocktail menu. Relax in the bar’s moody and seductive space, as you sip on some classical cocktails with a dry twist, created by Charlotte Charret, Head Bartender. Choose the dark ‘Dry Coffee’ cocktail, a delicious mix of Amaro Montenegro with Angostura orange bitters or the Dry White negroni, a refreshing cocktail comprising Riesling Wine, Lilet Blanc, Suze and orange bitters, garnished with a slice of orange. Furthermore, a selection of dry wines are also available from the wine list, meaning there is a dry drink for everyone. January doesn’t necessarily have to be non-alcoholic after all.
