Discover Our Sustainable Irish Wildflower Installation

This summer we’re celebrating the natural beauty of Irish wildflowers at The River Club terrace at The River Lee in Cork, which will be turned into a rich meadow.

Meadow, in partnership with Ketel One Botanical & Fox Flowers, will see the terrace transformed into an organic, whimsical wildflower garden with native flowers and planters.

Sip on one of our ‘climate conscious’ cocktails as you enjoy nature’s bounty inside our hotel as a verdant canopy of indigenious flowers sits overhead.

Pioneering sustainable spirit brand, Ketel One Botanical, have helped us develop a delightful drinks menu perfect for guilt free, summer sipping, with cocktails, mocktails and low alcohol options to tempt everyone.

A portion of the profits from each drink sold will go to VITA’s Honey Project. VITA are an Irish charity that supports climate preservation initiatives through social outreach projects in countries most affected by climate change.

€1 from each bespoke drink bought during our spring/summer terrace pop-up will be donated to this worthy cause.

We are striving to make our installations more sustainable, so we are reusing certain elements from a previous installation and mixing them with real herb planters packed with fragrant rosemary and lavender.

Guests who purchase a bespoke cocktail from the terrace menu will be able to take home part of the Meadow installation in the form of seed bombs, so they can plant a piece of the Irish countryside at home.

Wild flowers encourage biodiversity and help our bee populations and other pollinators remain resilient in the face of climate change.

The Meadow Installation at The River Club runs 2nd June until late September.
