Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is both a major tourist attraction and a government complex and is open seven days a week. Built in the 13th century, the castle was once the site of a Viking fortress and today houses the State Apartments, which is the venue for State functions and Presidential inaugurations. These apartments are open to the public, as are the Medieval Undercroft and Chapel Royal of the castle. A guided tour of the castle lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Located in Dublin city centre, Trinity College is Ireland’s main player on the international academic stage. While providing quality education to students from Dublin and beyond, the university conducts innovative research in the Life Sciences, Information and Communications Technologies, the Physical Sciences and Biomedical fields.  Trinity College also has partners in education, research and industry across the globe.

 

St Stephen’s Green

This public park in bustling Dublin has four centuries of history behind it and boasts a Green Flag in recognition of the high standards of management of the park. The park covers nine hectares and houses sculptural historical monuments such as the Fusiliers Arch, not to mention serving as a home for a variety of birds and other wildlife.
